Tips For Successful Dieting Part 2

Losing weight is never easy… but the results are always worth the effort. What if you could maximize your Weight Loss efforts and make it easier for your body to adjust to the new you? Here are some tips for successful dieting:

* Be sure to completely chew your food. Avoid “washing” half-chewed food down.

* Weigh yourself each week. If you see small daily changes in your weight, don’t worry about it. You shouldn’t lose more than one to two pounds a week. There may actually be some weeks when you don’t lose any weight at all. This is normal and it shouldn’t depress you. Stay on that diet.

* Remove soft drinks from your diet if you have not done so already. A 12-ounce can of regular soda usually contains around 120 calories. If you drink three cans a day, you can save 360 calories a day. Now, multiply that by seven days a week, 30 days a month and 365 days a year. As you can see, you would be saving a lot of calories.

* Schedule your exercise time. Plan it just as you do any other daily activities. Treat your exercising as a critical appointment that you don’t want to miss. I find early morning exercise is the best way to stay fit and keep you energized throughout the day. You can go for a brisk walk or jog or join the local Yoga class. It’s great fun!

* Don’t ever skip breakfast. Eat something even if it’s only a piece of toast or fruit.

* As soon as you finish a meal, go directly to your bathroom and brush, floss and mouthwash. This will leave your mouth feeling nice and clean and it makes it less appealing to eat anything more.

* When you get hungry, drink water. Sometimes that’s all we really need.

* Finally, just moving around burns calories. You can maximize this by making small changes in your daily routine. For example take the stairs instead of the elevator, get a long phone cord so that you can pace around while talking, and park further away from the entrances to your stores or malls so that you are forced to walk a bit more.
